Texas Cotton Marketing Corporation (TCMC), has been in existence for approximately twenty years. The company is owned by Edward J. Hanslik who also serves as president and chairman of the company.
TCMC is a cotton merchant company that sells and ships U.S. cotton to various U.S. (domestic) and non-U.S. (export) mills. TCMC has export experience in shipping cotton to Mexico, the Far East, Eastern and Western Europe, and Central and South America.
TCMC handles all U.S. growths (upland and PIMA) including Memphis territory, Memphis/Orleans/Texas (MOT), California/Arizona (C/A), and San Joaquin Valley (SJV).
TCMC has extensive experience with the U.S. government's GSM-102 program. In cooperation with the buyer's bank, a buyer from a country with a GSM-102 allocation available can typically defer payment from 3 to 36 months. With a letter of credit confirmed by a U.S. bank, arrangements can often be made to defer payment from 60 to 360 days.
TCMC played a key role in the development of the International Center for Textile Research located in Lubbock, Texas and is prepared to help deliver the center's expertise to any textile mill in the world.
The company's headquarters are located in Texas which is in the heart of one of the largest cotton producing areas in the world. TCMC is a member of various trade organizations including the Texas Cotton Association and the American Cotton Shippers Association.
